  1.      Nothing could be farther from typographic culture with its 
  2. ‚Äúplace for everything and everything in its place.‚Äù

  4.      Mrs. Warde has spent her life in the study of typography 
  5. and she shows sure tact in her startled response to letters that 
  6. are not printed by types but painted by light. It may be that 
  7. the explosion that began with phonetic letters (the ‚Äúdragon‚Äôs 
  8. teeth‚Äù sowed by King Cadmus) will reverse into ‚Äúimplosion‚Äù 
  9. under the impulse of the instant speed of electricity. The 
  10. alphabet (and its extension into typography) made possible 
  11. the spread of the power that is knowledge, and shattered the 
  12. bonds of tribal man, thus exploding him into agglomeration of 
  13. individuals. Electric writing and speed pour upon him, 
  14. instantaneously and continuously, the concerns of all other 
  15. men. He becomes tribal once more. The human family becomes 
  16. one tribe again.
